Elevate! founder and Realtor Rosemary Kelleher explores what it takes to succeed and how she can help you find success in the summer of 2016!
As we approach summer fun, now is the time to decide you are going to be in the minority and not the majority of your peers! What the heck does this mean?
Unfortunately the summer has a way of “leering us” all away from the things we must still do while the beaches and lakes and barbecues call out to us. Sure, everyone needs “downtime” and fun times in the summer heat with family and friends, however, September will come sooner than later and we need to keep our business pipeline flowing throughout the remainder of the year … especially after the summer sun sets.
Did you know, according to The National Association of Realtors that over 40% of all real estate transactions happened between May and August? It’s true. Buyers and Sellers who are entering the market in the summer months are serious. What does that mean for you? Opportunity time!
What is the best way to keep focus and still go to the beach and enjoy long weekends at the ocean, mountain or lake? There is one strategy that will assure you are going to closings in September, October, November and — yes — even in December! The answer is a Summer Success Plan!
There is another well known fact that has remained steady throughout the summer months that I like to remind agents that the local registry of deeds does not close down because the temperature rises or the beaches are calling out to all of us!
OK, how can you “pull together” a Summer Accountability Plan? Well, lucky for you, I have a Master Plan I would love to share with you and anyone else who is interested in being a Summer Rock Star Real Estate Professional!
Sure, not everyone will jump at this opportunity. In fact, most people will come up with thousands of reasons why they can’t work on a summer plan, but, aren’t you willing to be the exception? Won’t you be thrilled to go to closings when everyone comes back from the usual summer hiatus crying that they “have nothing going on?” I can think of $$ thousands $$ of reasons why you need to jump on board!
If you are still reading, you know this all to be true and you clearly want to have a Fun, Productive and Profitable Sweet ’16 Summer! Let’s get started with some ideas to kick-start your success.
To start, let’s get your team all on the same page. At this point you might think “But I don’t have a team?” Well, if you have been in business for a long time or you just started this year, you actually do have a team! Since we all work with mortgage professionals, lawyers, home inspectors, builders, handymen, plumbers, electricians, sales managers, administrative support people (just to name a few people on your team) we need to know when they will be around this summer and when they might be away.
Advance planning of when our team mates will be around and when they will be away on vacation will certainly help as we keep the transactions and opportunities rolling. Buyers and sellers do not want to hear about professional’s inabilities to help them move when they are ready to move!
Next, you certainly will need time off and even some long weekends and early days where you might cut out of the office early! Take out a calendar and start making plans. Planned time off is often so much more enriching and rewarding! When we have scheduled fun, well, that can be the best fun! Plan ahead and we can work around the fun!
Please don’t make a disastrous mistake by halting all your prospecting, marketing and lead generation! Don’t you think that top of mind and those who appear “present” will actually be the ones rewarded with opportunities to work with Buyers & Sellers? If you are absent, they won’t want to bother you … yes, bother you! (That’s what they will think) If you market more, advertise more, prospect and visit customers, clients and your sphere of influence – you will be open for business! Remember, perception is reality. What message will you be sending if you do less and not more?
These ideas are just a few of the 21 Summer Success Topics that I love sharing with top Real Estate Professionals! Give me a call or send me a text and let’s set up a session in your office. Invite your team (all of your team), your peers and anyone else you think would want to enjoy super summer success!
Don’t wait! Let’s get the Sweet Sixteen Summer Success Program rolling! Call 781-248-6069 or email ElevateNowCoach@gmail.com.
